Crudités, sandwiches and platters prepared by COMER for a seminar break

A seminar day, catered end to end

Catering a seminar is not a single meal, it is a run of moments that each have to land right. The welcome coffee opens the day while participants trickle in. The morning break has to be quick and taken standing up. Lunch has to feed people without flattening the afternoon session. The afternoon break arrives exactly when attention drops. Dinner, if there is one, changes register altogether: the working day is over.

We build the day with you in that order, starting from your programme rather than from a menu. Guest numbers, break lengths and room constraints shape the formats far more than preferences do.

The formats most often chosen for seminars

  • Individual meal trays, when the programme is tight or participants eat in the meeting room.
  • A cold or hot-and-cold buffet, which lets everyone serve themselves at their own pace and absorbs staggered arrivals.
  • Sweet and savoury breaks, sized to how long the break actually is rather than to a standard.
  • A seated dinner or a walking dinner for the closing evening, with service staff.

Depending on the format and the number of guests, your seminar falls under the Essentiel package (up to 30 guests, from €25 per person) or the Signature package (30 to 200 guests, from €45 per person, service staff included).

Diets and allergies: settled before the day

On a corporate seminar there are always diets to accommodate, and discovering them on the morning itself is the surest way to leave a participant out of their own event. We collect the requirements at quote stage: vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, halal, pork-free, and any declared allergies.

Those portions are prepared like the rest, not as a stripped-down version, and clearly identified on the buffet.

Where we operate

COMER comes to your seminar venue: hotel, hired room, company head office, estate. We operate in Biarritz, Bayonne, Anglet, Bidart, Saint-Jean-de-Luz and across the wider Basque Country.

Site access, delivery times and the equipment available on site are agreed in advance with a single point of contact, so that the day itself holds no surprises.

Frequently asked questions

How far in advance should we get in touch?

The detailed quote and menu proposal go out within 48 working hours of your request. The earlier the request arrives, the more open the choice of formats and slots stays, especially in busy periods.

Does the room need to have a kitchen?

No. We come to your seminar venue and the menu is built around what is genuinely available there. Site access, timings and equipment are agreed beforehand with your single point of contact.

What budget should we plan per person?

The Essentiel package starts at €25 per person for up to 30 guests, the Signature package at €45 per person for 30 to 200 guests with service staff included. The final price depends on the menu and level of service chosen, and is only firm once the quote is signed.

Do you cater for special diets?

Yes. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, halal, pork-free and declared allergies are collected at quote stage, prepared like the rest of the menu and identified on the buffet.
